Gypsy Heart Films was created in March 2008 by first time film maker and high school teacher, Natalie Baker. It is completely independent and self funded.

Gypsy Heart Films has two main objectives:

1. To challenge traditional documentary making techniques by using new technologies such as mobile phones, web cameras, digital cameras, and digital video cameras;
2. To celebrate diversity, equality and tolerance

The first film is to be a feature length documentary about the the fan culture of rock band U2, and how music can heal, educate and communicate.

It is anticipated that this film will be initially entered in international film festivals from mid 2009.
